  • The patient’s primary physician authorizes hospice care.
  • The focus is now on physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort rather than curative measures.

WHO PAYS FOR HOSPICE CARE?

  • Medicare/Medicaid/medical.
  • Health insurance and HMO.
